The rain continued to pour. Thunder storms were common in these parts. So, no need to worry thought Pooch. He sat down to watch the lightning patterns. They streaked across the sky in a regular fashion. Every streak of light illuminated the driveway. The very thought of a fire caused due to the storm excited Pooch. But such a thing, would be child’s play for the inhouse security computer…

Suddenly it happened…

A lone streak of light crashed on the driveway. It was not a lightning strike. It was more of a glow…a faint glow… and it appeared to move out into the darkness. The light seemed to emit heat.

Or, was it his vision??

Was he imagining things??

The door creaked open slowly. Pooch sniffed the air… It had been raining for the past few hours. The weather forecast was wrong yet again. The thought that… sometimes, not everything in the world is correct and believable flashed across Pooch’s mind as he walked out of the door. Never venture into the darkness they said… For it was filled with evil and strange looking creatures.

What could possibly lurk in these shadows??

Why would the elders restrict any movement after darkness??
